Carrie Bilenker
Carrie is a Freshman at George Washington University and is studying in the Elliott School of International Affairs. Formerly New Jersey YMCA’s Youth and Government’s Youth Governor for the State of New Jersey, she continues to work with the YMCA New Jersey Youth and Government Program to simulate state government and facilitate student debate to help teens gain an understanding and appreciation of our State’s legislative process. Through the YMCA, Carrie also attended and currently works with the Northeast Regional Model U.N conference, at which she was twice elected chair of the Legal Committee.
In 2010 Carrie also participated in the American Legion Auxiliary’s Girls State and Girls Nation Programs and was elected the 2010 Girls Nation President. In high school she served in her school’s Visible Woman Club, which promotes women’s issues and women’s charities. At George Washington University she is participating in both their volunteer programs as well as their High School Model U.N. program, through which the university hosts a conference for high school students to learn about international affairs, diplomacy, and debate.
